A claim for £8,921. 12. 9d. plus 10% departmental expenses by the War Office has been received from the Crown Agents, a copy of whose letter is attached.
It would appear that the department of the War Office initiating this claim is unaware of the terms of paragraph 1(vi) of the 1950 financial agreement between the United Kingdom and Hong Kong Governments. Alternatively, the claim falls within paragraph 1(xxi) of the same agreement.
I should be grateful for confirmation that this claim has been withdrawn.
